Sigma Trade-Up Program Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: July 27, 2026, 9:00AM Eastern Time
Sigma’s Trade-Up Program (the “Program”) is offered by Sigma Corporation of America (“Sigma”). The Program allows you to trade up eligible used cameras or lenses and receive a one-time-use Discount Coupon toward the purchase of select new SIGMA cameras, lenses, and accessories available at sigmaphoto.com. You participation in the Program constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of Sigma, which are final and binding.
Note: Sigma’s computer is the official timekeeping device for this Program.
Sigma has partnered with UsedPhotoPro (“UPP”) to receive your equipment and fulfill the Trade-Up portion of the Program. Evaluations, eligibility, estimates, and final decisions on the value of your Trade-Up equipment are within UPP’s sole discretion.
The Program is also subject to Sigma’s policies at www.sigmaphoto.com, and the Trade-Up portion of the Program is subject to UPP’s policies and procedures at www.usedphotopro.com.
Sigma reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Program at any time.
ELIGIBILITY
The Program is open in the 50 United States (including DC) only, and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the U.S. and where prohibited by law. Only Trade-Up items eligible for UPP’s Trade In program, listed in the FAQ section.
The Trade-Up purchase must be towards new/current eligible Sigma cameras, lenses, or accessories indicated as eligible for the Program. Cine products, refurbished gear, and accessories outside of Mount Converters and Teleconverters are excluded, unless specifically included as eligible.
Sigma reserves the right to confirm, verify, remove, and make eligible any and all Trade-Up items and new items available to benefit from the Discount Coupon, in its sole discretion.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Step 1: Check Eligibility. You can confirm your Trade-Up gear is eligible by checking the eligibility section of the Program page. For the latest information, please visit UPP’s website or contact them directly: [email protected] or 1-833-DIAL-UPP.
Step 2: Condition Estimate. Select one of the following condition categories (note that all final decisions of the condition of your Trade-Up item is within UPP’s sole discretion upon its receipt, review, and evaluation):
Mint: This item is at approximately 99% of its original condition. This item shows no cosmetic blemishes and is tested as fully operational. This item includes all that is photographed in this listing and nothing more. The photographs are of the actual item for sale. The grade associated with this item reflects only the core item and not any accessories that may be included.
Excellent: This item is between 90–98% of its original condition. This item shows little to no cosmetic blemishes and is tested as fully operational. The grade associated with this item reflects only the core item and not any accessories that may be included.
Good: This item is between 75–89% of its original condition. This item has been tested as fully operational. This item shows moderate wear for the age of the item. Glass may have slight imperfections that will not affect picture quality. The grade associated with this item reflects only the core item and not any accessories that may be included.
Fair: This item is between 65–74% of its original condition. This item shows heavy wear and may have major cosmetic blemishes. Glass may have imperfections that may affect picture quality. The item has been fully tested as operational. The grade associated with this item reflects only the core item and not any accessories that may be included.
Poor: This item is VERY ROUGH in appearance. This item may have non-functioning parts or missing parts. However, the core functionality of this item is operational. Glass will have marks, fungus and/or haze that will most likely affect image quality.
Inoperable: This item is sold AS-IS. This item has not been fully tested. This item may have obvious problems or issues that will make it unusable, or it may require repairs. Any or all parts of this item may not be functioning. The item may be missing major components essential to its functionality. This item is not eligible for returns and is being sold for parts or repair only.
Step 3: Receive Preliminary Quote. UPP will provide you with an estimated preliminary quote for the value of your Trade-Up equipment, based on the information you provided. This is a preliminary quote and not the final value.
Step 4: Select Trade-Up Product. You will receive a discount coupon for the purchase of an eligible SIGMA camera, lens, or accessory indicated in the FAQ section of the Trade-up Program page.
Step 5: Submit Forms. Fill out all forms on the website, providing name, email, and other required details. Limit five products are acceptable to be included in any one Trade-up form submission. For more than five products, submit a separate form.
Step 6: Receive discount coupon code and purchase your new Sigma product. The coupon code will be displayed on your submission confirmation page and via email, and is valid for 14 days after it is issued. You can either use the coupon code immediately or wait for the final UPP quotation for the Trade-Up value.
Step 7: UPP will contact you via email to complete the Trade-Up transaction.
You must ship your Trade-UP equipment within one week after submitting your request, in accordance with UPP’s instructions included in the email you receive. UPP will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label. The pre-paid shipping label DOES NOT INCLUDE INSURANCE – if you would like to insure your Trade-Up equipment to protect against economic loss, theft, or damage during shipping, you must purchase insurance from the carrier at the time of shipment. Pack the Trade-Up equipment carefully! Also, please include any instruction manuals, accessories, cords, and original boxes. Bubble wrap and/or newspaper should be used to avoid damage during shipment. Inside the shipping box along with your Trade-Up equipment, you must include a detailed list of all included equipment within the package as well as the Request For Quote (“RFQ”) number. Keep a copy of the RFQ number for your records!
ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE OF THE TRADE-UP EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO ITS ARRIVAL IN UPP’S WAREHOUSE IS AT YOUR SOLE EXPENSE.
Soon after UPP receives your shipment, you will receive a FINAL offer for your Trade-Up equipment. Once you receive the final offer, you can choose to agree or decline the transaction. If you decline UPP’s offer, UPP will return your Trade-Up equipment at no charge. UPP will request to confirm your return address.
Furthermore, you acknowledge and agree that if you do not complete a Trade-Up transaction (e.g. never ship product to UPP), decline the Trade-Up offer, or if Sigma determines that you have benefited from a Trade Up discount without a corresponding Trade-Up transaction, Sigma reserves the right to charge your credit card used to purchase the new Sigma equipment as part of this Program, in order to recover the discounted difference in price. You may also return the Sigma you purchased pursuant to Sigma’s return policies.
Final Trade-Up payments will be sent by UPP via Check or PayPal only. UPP will work with Participant to obtain payment information.
TRADE-UP DISCOUNT COUPON TERMS
Discount Coupon is valid for one-time use only, within 14 days from the date of your Trade-Up submission. The Discount Coupon can be redeemed against up to three eligible products in a single transaction. If you purchase more than three eligible products in one transaction, the discount will be applied to the three most expensive eligible products based on the current sale price, including already discounted items. Discount Coupon is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may only be used on sigmaphoto.com and only towards eligible products. Discount Coupon has NO CASH VALUE. It can be combined with other eligible Sigma promotions or discounts. If your Discount Coupon has expired, please contact [email protected] and explain your situation. Sigma may, in its sole discretion, re-instate the Discount Coupon.
Sigma reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny participation in the Program.
PROGRAM LIMITS
You may submit multiple eligible pieces of Trade-Up equipment and receive corresponding Discount Coupons, without limitation, provided all transactions are done pursuant to these Terms and Conditions. However, all transactions are subject to Sigma’s sole discretion to deny a Discount Coupon and deny participation for any or no reason.
RETURN POLICIES
Standard Sigma return policies apply to trade-up purchases. For information regarding your used gear that was traded in to UPP, please contact UPP directly at [email protected] or 1-833-DIAL-UPP.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By participating, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sigma, UPP, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and agencies, as applicable, and each of their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions and any liability of any kind resulting from or arising out of your participation in or association with the Program. Sigma is not responsible for any miscommunications such as technical failures related to computer, telephone, cable, incorrect dates or times printed on your receipt, and unavailable network or server connections, or other failures related to hardware, software or virus, or incomplete, late, or misdirected submissions.
RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
Sigma reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify the Program, the discount, timing, deadlines, and list of eligible products, at any time. Sigma reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all claims to protect itself against fraudulent, invalid, or repetitive claims.
PRIVACY
Personal data and all other information provided in connection with the Program may be processed, shared, and otherwise used as outlined in the Privacy Policy found at https://www.sigmaphoto.com/privacy-policy.
SEVERABILITY
The invalidity or un-enforceability of any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Program Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in effect and be construed as if the invalid or illegal provision was not included.
GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE
Participant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Program shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate courts located in New York, New York; and (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in the Program, but in no event, attorneys’ fees. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sigma and UPP in connection with this Program shall be governed by and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.
