Welcome to the Sigma Corporation of America (“Sigma” or “we/our/us”) website (the “Site”). This privacy policy describes how Sigma treats your use of the Site and also offline activities when you interact with Sigma, including the handling of personal information. We reserve the right to revise this privacy policy at any time. If we make any substantive changes, we will notify registered users by posting bulletins on the Site, by e-mail at the address provided by you, by posting notice of changes at the Site, or by posting this notice with a new effective date.

If you are a resident of a U.S. state that provides additional rights under specific state laws, please see the California Privacy Disclosures and Residents of Other U.S. States sections of this privacy policy.

1. INFORMATION COLLECTION

A. Automatically Generated Information

Sigma gathers certain broad information about Site use, including the number of unique visitors, the frequency with which they visit, and the programs and services preferred. We gather this information automatically so that we can, for example, learn how many people visit the Site, see which pages are the most and least viewed, and identify which web sites are referring visitors to the Site and related information. The data helps us determine the extent to which visitors use certain parts of the Site and tailor the Site in the future. In connection with these activities we may use some of the following tools.

Cookies and Pixel Tags: We use standard technologies such as a “cookie” and pixel tags to collect information about how the Site is used. A cookie is a small removable data file that is stored by your web browser on your computer. We use cookies to, among other things, identify your computer during a particular session, i.e., when you sign into the Site or post a photo or comment, remember the items in your shopping cart, and analyze Site visitor behavior. You may be able to adjust your cookie settings on your browser or device by interacting with the cookie consent tool on the Site. If you create a user account or otherwise join our Site, these cookies enable you to store your password for fast logon and other conveniences. Most Web browsers provide you with the ability to accept or decline cookies, as well as to be warned each time a cookie is being sent. If you choose to decline cookies, however, you may not be able to take advantage of all aspects of our Site. Pixel tags, also known as beacons or Clear GIF’s, help us better manage content on our Site by informing us what content is effective. Pixel tags are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, pixel tags are embedded invisibly on Web pages.

IP Addresses: We collect and analyze traffic on the Web Site by keeping track of the IP addresses of our visitors. An IP address is the unique numeric identifier assigned to each computer browser accessing the Internet. An IP address, by itself, cannot identify you personally. However, when combined with other information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your IP address can be used to identify the computer originating a message.

Google Analytics: The Site uses Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the Site. The automatically generated information about your use of the Site (including IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors' use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for Sigma.

Google Analytics collects information anonymously.  Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither Sigma nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. We will not associate any data gathered from this Site with any Personally Identifiable Information from any source, unless you explicitly submit that information via a fill-in form on our Site. It reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics without affecting how you visit our Site – for more information on opting out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites you use, visit this Google page.

B. Personally Identifiable Information – Voluntarily Provided

Certain actions and areas of the Site require you to provide personal information, such as when you join the Site or create a user account, or submit a photo or comment. The personally identifiable information we collect may include your name, address, phone number, mobile phone number, e-mail address, a user name you provide, or similar information.

Additionally, we may collect information from you when we interact with you at marketing events, trade shows, or conferences. The personally identifiable information we collect may include your name, email address, phone number, company affiliation, or other similar information you wish to provide.

If you do submit personally identifiable information to us, we may share such information with third party marketing partners to market on our behalf in addition to using that information for the purposes for which it was submitted.

We may also use your information in other ways, such as to contact you about changes to Site policy, to provide you with information about products and offers we believe will be of interest to you, or as otherwise disclosed to you at the point of collection. We may share your information with our parent company, affiliates, partners, and any other organizations or entities for similar purposes. Additionally, to the extent required by applicable federal or state law, we will provide this information to others.

By submitting information to us, you give us permission to receive it, review it, edit it, store it, post it on the Site, and use it in appropriate settings designed to illustrate the viewpoint of Sigma.
