The new MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 allows you to use your SIGMA SA mount and SIGMA EOS mount interchangeable lenses with the Sony E-mount camera body.
Until now, the market has seen the introduction of many methods for using lenses from one camera system with a body from a different system. In the digital age, however, camera systems have become much more complex, and it is challenging to create a mount converter that aligns both the mechanics and software of the lens and body. Creating a converter that matches lenses for current DSLRs to bodies for mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera systems is even more challenging. Now the market demands a converter that goes beyond simply aligning the flange back distance to retaining full functionality.

MC interface

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 incorporates the digital data necessary to provide fast and smooth AF for compatible lenses as well as OS features and functions of the camera that help control peripheral brightness and correct transverse chromatic aberration, distortion, and more.

In addition, since Sony E-mount camera bodies do not require mechanical integration with lenses for aperture control, the MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 makes SIGMA SA mount interchangeable lenses and SIGMA interchangeable lenses for Canon cameras fully compatible with the automatic exposure control of Sony E-mount camera bodies.

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 is ideal for professional photographers who use different camera systems depending on the subject, as well as amateur photographers who enjoy using a variety of camera systems. Increasing the compatibility of lenses with different camera systems makes these assets more valuable than ever. In addition, users of Sony E-mount camera bodies will enjoy an immediate increase in the number of lenses available to them.

i have mc 11 with 2 lens sigma 18-35mm and 24-70mm. Well, the focus is not fast, and you lose some 10% of the light. i have to work mannuallly.

Great product that could be better...
This adapter works pretty much flawlessly. Why no speed booster version for full frame to aps-c sensors?

Would be perfect if not for the battery drain
Bought the adapter as well as the new sigma 105 1.4 to use with my A7r3 . The autofocus is pretty good even in low light . Its pretty fast most of the time as well .Sigma releases regular firmware updates as well so its always improving
The only issue is it seems to be draining the battery a bit fast than normal . If this could be fixed in the next firmware update it would be much appreciated.

I hope I just got a lemon
Got my mc11 and sigma 18-300 today and spent about 2 hours with it this afternoon. I have to say it is not good at all. I picked this combo because it said it was fully compatible with my sony A6300 which is suppost to be a great match. Well I have to say it doesn't work even marginally well. At close range it is ok... about twice as slow to focus as my sony 55-210 zoom. It is at the longer distances where it falls on its face. It never stops hunting for focus regardless of what focus mode I select. In video mode at a distance... it simply never stabilizes. I tested it for a minute straight looking at stationary objects that were about 100 yards away and it simply continued to go in and out of focus chattering. I hope I just got a lemon of a MC-11 and not that this combo was just oversold. I sent an email to tech support and hope they can tell me something. If not, this will be going back and I will just stick to sony glass for this great little mirrorless A6300.

Good but no cigar
Really nice adapter for the price but as today 2 may 2015 this adapter don't work as good as the metabones on canon native lenses, bur hopefully sigma vill fix this in firmware. No tripod mount.

Doesn't work with the 50-100. Works with the 18-35.
This adaptor works very well with the 18-35 ART.
Unfortunately it's as worse as metabones with my 50-100 ART received this morning. I can't find a way to download new firmwares.

Worse than expected
I had high hopes for this adapter. I'm looking for a firmware update to resolve things, but if it doesn't get any better I might end up sending this back. My biggest issue is that the thing doesn't even work well with the Sigma 18–35 f1.8. With the camera in AF-S, the lens frequently and randomly goes completely out of focus without any action on the user's part. Phase detect AF seems slower generally, especially in low light, and even more so in video mode where from my brief testing it looks to be unusable. Eye-AF is enabled but doesn't seem to work nearly as reliably as other Sony lenses. Put a Sony lens on after using the MC-11 and 18–35 combo and you'll realize a massive difference. Other grievances include: No 1/4 20 thread on the bottom for mounting (Metabones has it). This becomes crucial with lenses like Sigma's 18–35 f1.8 which puts all the camera's weight at the front. The inability to accept Canon EF-S lenses is another big one. While it's not fair to criticize Sigma for lack of support on something they never claimed to support, lots of info from the web is trickling in on Canon (rather than solely Sigma Canon mount) lens compatibility. The fact that you can't even put an EF-S lens on the thing (at least not the Canon 10–18) is discouraging. I truly hope firmware fixes are in the works for this, or available now, as I've seen more positive comments from other reviewers. I sold my a7rii so I'm wondering if these issues are more exclusive to the a6300.
I don't know why Sigma's rating criteria includes both value and price as I would consider "value" one of the variables incorporating price, but the reason I'm giving this three stars still is that it's only a $250 adapter verses something from Metabones. I'm finding the Metabones to be much more reliable and a much better thought out adapter so far however as the Sony-specific feature set enabled by this adapter does not perform reliably.

Does the MC-11 mount also take Canon lenses?

What's about older lenses?
Only 19 Sigma lenses? Is there any Aperture compatibility available for older Sigma lenses?
