SIGMA PHOTO PRO

The latest version, SIGMA Photo Pro 6.2.0, is compatible with the RAW data taken by the SIGMA dp Quattro series and all SIGMA digital cameras.

SPP Version 6.2.1 for Windows

  • Improved resolution by reconsidering developing process of the RAW data (X3F files) of the SIGMA dp Quattro series.
  • Added the function to set image aspect ratio 7:6 in the RAW data (X3F files) of the SIGMA dp Quattro series.
  • Corrected the phenomenon that some color appears in peripheral part of the images when developing the RAW data (X3F files) of image size MED taken with SIGMA Merrill series.
  • Corrected the phenomenon that it is not possible to print when ‘Fit to paper size’ is selected in the size preference in print setting.
  • Improved the phenomenon that the RAW data (X3F files) taken by bulb shooting with SD9, SD10 and SD14 is not displayed in the review window.
  • Corrected the phenomenon that the RAW data (X3F files) taken with cameras other than SD1, Merrill series and Quattro series is not saved in JPEG or TIFF formats when selecting ‘Auto’ in the review window.
  • Corrected the phenomenon that images saved in 8bit TIFF are not displayed properly in some viewers available from other companies.

SIGMA Optimization Pro is the dedicated software that enables you to connect lenses from the Sigma Global Vision product lines to your computer via SIGMA USB Dock, and to customize the lens with operations such as firmware update and focus adjustment.

CAMERA FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD

dp1 Quattro Firmware Version 1.02

  • Now able to record Photographer and Owner of Copyright details in Exif information. To check them, Display Copyright Information is displayed on Image Info Screen.
  • Added the function to set image aspect ratio 7:6.
  • Added the function to select Black or Semi-transparent for the frame, when shooting with aspect ratio other than 3:2.
  • Added the function to set minimum shooting intervals from 4 to 8 seconds when shooting with interval timer.
    * The minimum shooting interval changes depending on the combination of image quality and size of image.
  • Added S-LO to the setting of number of record pixels (Image Size) for JPEG shooting.
  • Changed Focusing Range of Portrait to Approx. 0.33m ~ ∞ and Landscape / Snap shooting to Approx. 0.5m ~ ∞ in AF Limit Mode.
  • Improved the focusing speed and its precision in AF mode in low light conditions.

Note: If the firmware has been updated to Ver.1.02, please be sure to update it to the latest version (SIGMA Photo Pro 6.2.1).

dp2 Quattro Firmware Version 1.05

DP1 Merrill Firmware Version 1.04

  • Improves the stability of operation.
  • Improves the precision of bounce flash shooting when ELECTRONIC FLASH EF-610 DG SUPER SA-STTL and ELECTRONIC FLASH EF-610 DG ST SA-STTL are used.
  • When you enlarge an image, it used to enlarge the center of the image. However, the new firmware magnifies the image depending on the focusing position.
  • It is possible to select the file name of the image either from “SDIM” or “DP1M”.
  • It has integrated the color tones of Custom White Balance (Sunlight, Shade, Overcast, Incandescent, Fluorescent, Flash) among the DP Merrill series.
  • Corrects the phenomenon that the AEL setting goes back to default if the AEL button is set for "Central AEL + AEL", and alternate MF to AF or vice versa, while it is still displaying the operation icon.
  • Corrects the phenomenon that self-timer shooting whilst using P Mode would cancel the program shift for the customized shutter speed and aperture settings if you press the release button.
  • Properly displays the image according to the selected magnification percentage.
  • Corrects the phenomenon that the selected exposure is not appropriately applied when an external flashgun is used with Custom Mode.
  • Corrects the phenomenon that, in rare cases, images are not recorded properly when the battery level is low.
  • Corrects the rare phenomenon that the recording process does not go perfectly when the camera is turned off right after taking the image.
  • It displays the size of the file when you select an image and open the Image Info Screen.

  2. Start updating the firmware with the saved data in the card.
  3. Once you finish the firmware update of DP1 Merrill to Ver. 1.03 or of DP2 Merrill to Ver. 1.04, or if your camera is DP3 Merrill, it is necessary to install Sigma Photo Pro 5.5 to develop the RAW images. 

The previous versions (Sigma Photo Pro 5.4.1 or earlier) cannot process it properly.

SIGMA Capture Pro allows photographers to tether the Sigma SD1 camera to their computer and take control over camera settings and capture images remotely.
