Sigma documentation is very poor!
I have a couple of new Sigma lenses, one of which is 50mm F/1.4 Art, which I use on Nikon DF750. This lens was from the beginning forward focusing by about 2-3 cm. Since camera's internal AF fine tuning did not help, I got Sigma USB-dock to try to solve this problem. This was the beginning of the disaster.

Nikon D750 has 2 entirely different types of auto-focus: Viewfinder AF which is PHASE-Detection AF and Live-View AF which is CONTRAST-Detection AF and they apparently work independently of each other. I have read all available Sigma USB-dock documentation but it never mentioned WHICH AF dock can adjust. I have read all the reviews and ratings how fantastically sharp Sigma 50mm A really is but nobody mentioned about the TYPE of AF was used for measurements. So I assumed that USB-dock will adjust BOTH types of focus simultaneously. How naive I was!!!

I was testing the lens AF at F/1.4 and about 40-50cm distance using Live View Contrast detection AF. No matter how I set the dock at 40cm (and also at 70cm), the actual AF point virtually did not move. I went from 0 step 1 to +20, then again by step -1 back to 0 and all the way to -20 without any effect. Then I decided to ADD Sigma USB-dock and camera own AF fine tune without ANY effect!. After spending several days on this problem, I decided to return the lens.

Being very persistent, I started reading in detail D750 instructions which state that D750 AF fine tune works ONLY on Phase detection (Viewfinder) AF and NOT on Contrast detection (Live View) AF. Suspecting that the same may be true for Sigma USB-block, I searched again and aging Sigma documentation without any sensible result. For Sigma AF is AF is AF and that is! So I tried an experiment and tried to use USB-dock focus tuning using ONLY PHASE DETECTION Viewfinder AF. Within 10 minutes the forward focusing was corrected!!! Of course Contrast detection Live View AF is still forward focusing so I have to live with it but at least I know what is going on.
