The Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM Art is the ideal ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for the most demanding photographers. With a constant F2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom range, it’s designed for 50-megapixel plus cameras for outstanding high-resolution image quality. An updated Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) provides fast and accurate autofocus. 3 FLD and 3 SLD glass elements; 3 aspherical lens elements; and 1 large-diameter aspherical element minimize chromatic aberration resulting in extremely sharp images. Outdoor shooters will appreciate the dust- and splash-proof construction with special sealing at the mount connection, manual focus ring, zoom ring, and cover connection. With the growing popularity in multi-camera VR videography, a new Front Conversion Service is available to convert to a round hood for these specialized applications. Like each and every Global Vision Lens, the Sigma 14-24mm 2.8 DG HSM Art is handcrafted at our single factory in Aizu, Japan and undergoes individual evaluation before leaving Sigma’s facility.

Zodiacal Light Over Tor Bay

Barry Burgess

Canon 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | A 30 sec 2.5 2500

Zodiacal light it's back. Tor Bay Provincial Park in Nova Scotia is quite remote, with minimal light pollution and is an excellent location for star gazing and observing Zodiacal light. Zodiacal light is caused by sunlight scattered by interplanetary dust in the ecliptic plane. Zodiacal light is best seen around the equinoxes. Zodiacal light is visible in the West after evening twilight around the spring equinox and in the East before dawn around the autumn equinox. Photographed on Sept 14, 2018 in Tor Bay Provincial Park

My brother and I first traveled to Santorini about 15 years ago. The beauty of it all hasn't changed much. This time, we did venture out into the countryside, soaking up the sun and wind. Don't think you can get much closer to Paradise than this place. Others come close, but Greece, in general provides you everything you can possibly desire.

This was a replacement for a 12-24mm sigma lens that I loved very much but after more than 7-years of heavy use I simply wore it out. So, I replaced it with the 14-24 and so happy I did the lens is awesome! The build is solid just like the 35mm Art I own. The color rendition and edge to edge sharpness are excellent. Just as described the distortion at 14mm is indeed virtually zero.
The lens is being used with a Canon 6D II and a Sony A6500 with MC11 mount. The other most important part of buying Sigma lenses for me has always been the service and support which are second to none.

Its an Art!
I recently tested this lens side by side to a competitor lens and I can confirm what Sigma stated. At f2.8, it was sharper than its competition at all focal lengths. The lens itself has a great build quality feel. The price is again spot on for this type of lens, and this type of quality. The lens was tested on a D850 and the results spoke for themselves.

The focal length changes the angle of view in an image. The longer the focal length, the smaller the angle of view and the greater the magnification.
