Description:

This week’s Fan Photo of the week was taken by photographer Cindy Bryant using Sigma’s 150-500mm F5-6.3. Here’s her story:

I spent a recent Saturday morning with a few local wildlife photographers and mentor over at Viera Wetlands in Viera, FL.  The action was none existent on this morning, in fact, everyone was laughing at one point because there were about 8 photographers with huge lenses just waiting for any bird to move.  After much disappointment, my husband Matt and I decided to stroll a little further into the woods and came across a set of Black bellied whistling ducks that were just relaxing by the grass.  I immediately dropped to the ground and noticed the beautiful backdrop I would get in the frame with duck standing in the tall grasses and captured this shot as a result.  I just love the simplicity, colors and smile on the subject’s face, along with the close call of a 90 degree pose.

My style of photography is one that I describe as cheerfully bright, but filled with simplicity targeting special details and poses to display the subjects everyday normal in a interesting artsy form. I look for candid everyday moments that most people miss, yet when they see it in a portrait they’re happily surprised.
