Gear on Display on the Sigma Booth at Imaging USA 2018

The Sigma 85mm Art employs a completely new high-performance optical design and premium components purpose built by Sigma R&D to produce the visually stunning bokeh effect that attracts so many photographers. The lens’ advanced architecture features two SLD (special low dispersion) glass elements and one glass element with a high rate of anomalous partial dispersion and refraction.

The Sigma 135mm Art is a mid-range telephoto prime lens, touting outstanding sharpness and great IQ from edge to edge. The 1.8 F-stop delivers greater “shallow depth of field” and isolation of subjects. The outstanding compression effect makes it equally as powerful for up-close and full-length portraits. Its new large Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) delivers ample torque to the focusing group for outstanding speed, ensuring exceptionally stable performance even at lower speeds and allowing for fast autofocus photography.

Encompassing the long history of Sigma’s wide-angle lens development expertise, the new 12-24mm F4 Art Lens’ performance highlights include constant F4 brightness and the brand new Sigma AF system with 1.3X torque boost. With a minimum focus distance of 9.4 inches from the image sensor at 24mm, photographers can compose incredible close-up shots with expansive backgrounds.

Touting a brand new Optical Stabilizer (OS), Hypersonic Motor (HSM) for highly efficient and fast autofocus, as well as a dust- and splash-proof mount with rubber sealing, the revamped 24-70mm F2.8 Art covers a wide array of shooting scenarios. Its DNA includes three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and four aspherical elements to minimize coma, transverse chromatic aberration and distortion from center to edges. The 24-70mm F2.8 Art aspherical elements use Sigma’s groundbreaking thicker center glass design and highly precise polishing process, delivering stunning images and bokeh effects. The lens’ purpose-built structure boasts a new metal barrel for optimal durability with TSC composite internal moving components designed to resist thermal contraction and expansion.

This incredibly versatile, compact, super telephoto zoom lens produces stunningly sharp images on both full-frame and ASP-C crop sensor DSLRs. Lightweight and compact with uncompromising image quality, the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 Contemporary lens excels at capturing just about any subject matter and scenario. Photographers get sharp optical quality throughout the entire focal range with beautiful smooth blurring on out-of-focus backgrounds. The optical stabilizer detects horizontal, vertical and diagonal camera shake, bringing incredible clarity to fast-moving sports and wildlife photography. Nature photographers can rely on the sturdy, dust- and splash-proof construction, while excellent close-focusing makes it perfect for isolating subjects such as flowers, insects and other small wildlife at comfortable distances.

  • Action Sports Photography Essentials: Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 Sports and Contemporary Lenses

The 150-600mm F5-6.3 Sports lensis renowned for its superior optics and durability in fast-paced, high-action photo scenarios. The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 Contemporary lens is a versatile lens that offers similar performance in a more compact and lightweight design. Performance capabilities common to both telephoto lenses include advanced two-mode optical stabilization, enhanced auto-focus algorithm, sophisticated Hyper Sonic Motor for quiet and fast focusing, along with zoom locking at all marked focal lengths and performance.

In addition to showcasing its Global Vision still photography lenses, Sigma will have on display its full cine lens lineup as well as its line of mirrorless sd Quattro digital cameras featuring the Foveon sensor technology for outstanding image quality.
