Sigma Corporation of America (“Sigma”) is pleased to offer the Sigma “Golden Ticket” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”). The Sweepstakes is intended to celebrate Sigma’s 50th anniversary at the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (“WPPI”) Convention and Trade Show 2011.
1. ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open to all attendees of the WPPI 2011 trade show. An eligible minor under the age of 18 must have his/her parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to enter the Sweepstakes. Employees of Sigma, its parents, affiliates, dealers or subsidiaries and members of the immediate family and household of each are not eligible. Immediate family members include parents, siblings or any person residing in the same household as employee. Void where prohibited by law. Entries must be from individuals only; groups, organizations and multiple-party entries are not eligible. This Sweepstakes is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
2. ENTRY PROCEDURES
The three (3) winners of this Sweepstakes will be selected at random. Sigma will give away 2,500 decks of playing cards to eligible entrants (one per attendee) at the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (“WPPI”) Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV, from Feb. 21-23, 2011. Decks of cards do not entitle entrants to a prize. Prior to the start of the Sweepstakes, Sigma will insert three “Golden Tickets” into three individual decks of playing cards at random. Each Golden Ticket entitles a winner to receive one Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM lens. Individuals enter the Sweepstakes in person at the Sigma booth at the WPPI Convention and Trade Show by allowing their event badge to be scanned and selecting a deck of cards at random. No financial obligation or purchase of Sigma products is required to enter. Entries by mail, phone, or by electronic communications will not be accepted.
3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
Entries will be accepted on February 21, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time (“PT”), on February 22, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT, and on February 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT. Winners must claim their prizes in person at the Sigma booth at the WPPI Convention and Trade Show, by visiting Sigma Corporation of America at booth #701, by February 23, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. PT.
4. WINNER SELECTION
Three (3) entrants who present a Golden Ticket to Sigma representatives at the Sigma Corporation of America booth #701 at the WPPI Convention and Trade Show will be notified that they are a Sweepstakes Winner. They will have an opportunity to select their lens mount at that time. Most winners will leave with their lens that day, but in the unlikely event that a particular mount is unavailable at the show, Sigma Corporation of America will mail the prize to the winner.
Should there be any attempt to manipulate the Sweepstakes winner selection process, Sigma reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from redeeming a Golden Ticket to receive a Prize.
5. PRIZES
Three (3) Sweepstakes Winners will be selected. The Winners who present a Golden Ticket to a Sigma representative at the Sigma booth at the WPPI trade show will receive a Prize of one (1) Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM lens in a mount of their choosing. In the unlikely case that the mount selection is unavailable at the trade show, the Prize will be delivered by U.S. mail or other shipping service to the shipping address of the Winner. The Winner is subject to eligibility verification and compliance with these Official Rules. The Prize is neither transferable nor redeemable for cash. Sigma reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability.
Sigma reserves the right to disqualify any entry and take any other action it deems appropriate in order to conduct this Sweepstakes fairly and equitably.
6. ODDS OF WINNING
Odds of winning are 1:834.
7. GENERAL
By entering, entrant, or in the case of a minor, the minor’s parent or legal guardian, (a) agrees to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of Sigma (including but not limited to eligibility determinations) which are final and binding in all respects; (b) agrees to release Sigma and its employees and agents from any and all liability, loss, damage or injury resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or awarding, receipt, possession use and/or misuse of any prize awarded herein and acknowledge that Sigma and its employees and agents have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize; and (c) consents to use of entrant’s name, Sweepstakes Entry and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with this Sweepstakes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. If by reason of a printing, computer, production or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these official rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded.
8. DISPUTES
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Nevada without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, participants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Nevada having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (e.g., costs associated with entering), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
