Welcome to the SIGMA PROs website. SIGMA PROs is a new program initiated by the Sigma Corporation of America to highlight professional photographers that are using Sigma equipment for their daily work. Sigma has been a leader in photographic technology for over 40 years and currently features a product lineup that offers the professional or advanced amateur photographer the latest technology in lens design, intelligent choices in equipment selection, and a great value for the dollar. In many cases, Sigma offers photographers a selection of lenses that simply are not available from the major camera manufacturers, and addresses special photographic needs. The Sigma SD14 Digital SLR camera features the unique FOVEON X3® direct color image sensor for optimum quality photographs, while the trend setting DP1 features a large SLR size image sensor in a compact camera.
The photographers included here use Sigma equipment to achieve outstanding results, as can be seen from the photo galleries presented. For each photographer you will find a personal biography, technical data, and useful background information about how each picture was made. We hope these images will inspire you to take better photographs, and to take a close look at the equipment choices offered by Sigma.
