"It is given us limited time called life. We come across a lot of scene on a Journey called life. There are pleasant scenes, and there are sad scenes on this journey. However, on this journey showing various scenes, the end comes sometime. I want to enjoy every scene that come across on the limited journey as much as possible. I deepen an encounter with the scene more by taking photographs. The role of photo equipment to take precious photographs is very big. Therefore, it is very lucky to come across reliable photographic equipment."
Ryuichi Oshimoto was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.
When he longed for creative work after graduating from high school, he came across photography. He went to a photography school in Tokyo at night and worked in a small photography studio during the day.
He came to the U.S. to study English for two years after obtaining some photography knowledge in Tokyo.
Two years later, as soon as he moved to New York, his intuition told him that New York was the place for him to begin his photographic career.
He became an independent photographer in 1991 after working as a photo assistant for some time. When he went on his own, he had a good idea and enough knowledge for the photography business, not only technically but also know a good network of people.
He has been shooting different categories from portraits to photo stories for various media.
In 1995, he moved to LA. Presently he enjoys the scenes that come across his camera on his trips. He is a happy family man with a wife and son in sunny southern California.
