While photographing the Rochester International Air Show with the Sigma 150-600mm Sport, I decided to discard by monopod since it was just adding weight and knocking the people in front of me. Shooting that lens handheld with planes flying by at upwards of 600 mph at times was a workout, but it also showed how useful the incredible optical stabilization system was. The images were tack sharp even with rapid panning and quivering shoulders.

When I photographed the Attica Rodeo I had a great shot of a bull having a temper tantrum and a different shot of an awkward dismount. I blended the two together in Photoshop and then decided I liked a scenic shot as the background instead of the distracting rodeo background which had fences, spectators and porta potties. Adding a vignette to the final edit and converting it to sepia in Nik Silver FX helped tie everything together.
