This week’s Fan Photo of the Week was taken by Carol Haff using the 10-20mm F4-5.6 DC HSM.
Here’s her story: This photo was shot from the bank of Swiftcurrent Lake, Glacier National Park, Montana, mid morning. I was actually driving back to a trailhead to start a hike and glanced toward the lake and saw this absolutely breathtaking scene. The clouds were enveloping the tops of the mountains, the water was calm. I stopped, took out the tripod, and started shooting. I have been visiting Glacier National Park for many years, but this has to be at the top of the list for some of the best morning scenery on Swiftcurrent Lake.
Photography for me has been more recent. I had shot film a bit back in the 80′s, but when digital was developed I was hooked. My passion is hiking, my addiction Glacier National Park, and I started shooting to document the park and hiking trips, plus share photos with family and friends who do not hike, and that has been the focus of my photography thus far. I was fortunate enough to be able to take an early retirement recently, so I hope now to spend more time learning, practicing, and pursuing landscape and nature photography.
